The apartment of Russian propagandist Artemiy Lebedev, which had been confiscated in central Kyiv, was purchased at auction by the company “Center for Unmanned Systems Research,” known under the brand name “General Chereshnya.”
The 138.5-square-meter apartment is located on Yaroslaviv Val Street, near the Golden Gate.
The starting price for the lot was 10.58 million hryvnia.
Two bidders competed for the property during the auction, and the final sale price was 13,500,001 hryvnias, which exceeded the starting price by nearly 3 million hryvnias. The State Property Fund of Ukraine announced the results of the auction.
All proceeds from the sale of sanctioned property will be directed to the Fund for the Elimination of the Consequences of Armed Aggression for the further reconstruction of Ukraine.
Artemiy Lebedev is one of Russia’s most famous bloggers, designers, and entrepreneurs. He openly supports the Kremlin’s policies and spreads anti-Ukrainian narratives among his audience of many thousands.
In 2017, Lebedev was banned from entering Ukraine after he publicly supported Russia’s occupation of Crimea. He has been subject to Ukrainian sanctions since 2022.
Earlier, Dmytro Natalukha, head of the State Property Fund of Ukraine, announced that Artem Lebedev’s apartment—confiscated by court order—would be put up for public auction, with the proceeds going toward state needs.
Company representatives reported this on social media.
In 2023, the Cabinet of Ministers transferred two apartments in Kyiv and other property belonging to Russian blogger and propagandist Artem Lebedev to the State Property Fund (SPF) for management.
