The closure of EU Avenue due to subway construction in Vinogradar has been extended through December
Traffic restrictions on European Union Avenue in Kyiv have been extended.
This was reported by the Kyiv City State Administration.
The closure of the section from Vasyl Poryk Avenue to Svobody Avenue will remain in effect until December 1, 2026.
Previously, the restrictions were scheduled to end in early April.
The timeline was changed due to the active phase of metro construction in Vinogradar.
Complex work is ongoing at the site, including tunnel excavation and infrastructure preparation.
Public transportation will operate on temporary routes; drivers are advised to plan their routes taking detours into account.
The metro project in Vinogradar is expected to reduce traffic congestion in this area of the capital.
