Police have arrested a man who opened fire in Troyeshchyna
On May 18, in the Dnipro district of Kyiv, a man opened fire during an argument and then barricaded himself inside an apartment. The suspect was neutralized.
This was reported by the National Police.
According to law enforcement, a local resident fired two shots during a conflict with acquaintances, after which he locked himself in his apartment. There were no casualties as a result of the incident. Currently, police and special forces are at the scene, and negotiations were underway with the shooter. As a result, police detained the suspect. The investigation is ongoing, and the legal classification of the incident is being determined.
According to sources at UA.News, the incident occurred at 1 Hradynska Street, where a reservist had barricaded himself inside an apartment. The man had previously served in the 103rd Separate Territorial Defense Brigade named after Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Earlier in Kyiv, law enforcement officers detained a mobilized serviceman who had left his unit in the Kharkiv region without authorization and, according to the investigation, began collaborating with the Russian side by carrying out tasks related to the registration of Starlink terminals.
Law enforcement officers used their service firearms to repel an attack during a call in the village of Seredniy Bereziv, Kosiv District. The incident occurred after medical personnel complained about the aggressive behavior of an unknown individual who threatened them with violence.
