The policewoman who fled during the terrorist attack in Kyiv had participated in the Maidan protests

Police officer Anna Dudina, who has been notified of charges of professional negligence in connection with the terrorist attack in Kyiv on April 18, previously participated in the Revolution of Dignity as a medical worker.

This has been reported by journalists.

Dudina herself confirmed that she was on Maidan, noting that she is a rehabilitation specialist by training and performed duties similar to those of a medical professional.

According to her declaration, she works as a senior inspector for housing issues in the Kyiv Patrol Police Department. For 2025, she declared 481,864 hryvnias in salary and 72,672 hryvnias in housing rental compensation.

Earlier, Dudina and another law enforcement officer were charged with official negligence.

According to the investigation, they left the scene during the terrorist attack. The court imposed a pretrial detention measure on them—60 days in custody with the possibility of bail.

The police officer herself did not admit guilt in court. She stated that she did not see the attacker and had no opportunity to use her service weapon.

Dudina also noted that she had not actually worked as a patrol officer since 2019, but was called in due to a staffing shortage in the capital’s police force, which she described as significant.

Law enforcement officials classified the shooting in Kyiv’s Holosiivskyi district, which resulted in the deaths of six people, as a terrorist act.

In the Holosiivskyi district of Kyiv, an unknown assailant opened fire on people. According to preliminary reports, one person was killed and others were injured.

The number of victims of the shooting carried out by an unknown assailant is rising in the Holosiivskyi district of Kyiv.
