Israeli Ambassador Receives Award from Klitschko for Assistance to Kyiv

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko presented Michael Brodsky, Israel’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Ukraine, with the “For Contributing to the Defense of Kyiv” badge.

According to the mayor, the ambassador received the award for his support of the city and the implementation of humanitarian projects since the start of the full-scale war.

According to Klitschko, in 2022, with Brodsky’s assistance, modern medical equipment worth over 40 million hryvnias was donated to one of Kyiv’s children’s hospitals. The Israeli Embassy also provided Kyiv with 50,000 sets of ready-to-eat meals with heating elements, which were subsequently distributed to meet the needs of the Ukrainian military.

In addition, in 2023, the capital received 30 active wheelchairs for children with disabilities.

Separately, Klitschko noted the ambassador’s participation in the opening of Ukraine’s first Kyiv Center for Stress Resilience in April 2023. Thanks to cooperation with the Israeli Trauma Coalition, over the course of three years, approximately 12,000 specialists from various fields—including security, medicine, education, and critical infrastructure—have completed training in psychological resilience.
