The Prosecutor's Office is seeking a court order to return land worth 150 million hryvnias to the Dovzhenko Film Studio

The Shevchenkivskyi District Prosecutor’s Office in Kyiv is seeking a court order to invalidate the unlawful registration of ownership rights to non-existent real estate located on state-owned land.

This plot, covering more than 1 hectare, is currently being used by the Oleksandr Dovzhenko National Film Studio.

Law enforcement officials have filed a lawsuit to remove obstacles to the use of the territory on Moldavska Street in the Shevchenkivskyi District.

Prosecutors seek to annul the ownership record for the fictitious property and remove information about the plot from the State Land Cadastre.

The disputed territory is part of a large 16-hectare tract belonging to the assets of the legendary film studio.

No official decisions regarding the transfer of this land to third parties or commercial entities have been made by the authorities.

The investigation established that the private company had unlawfully registered documents for a non-existent building with an area of over 155 square meters.

Using this scheme, the developers were able to create a separate plot “on paper” for the construction of office centers.

The estimated market value of the seized land is over 150 million hryvnias.

The perpetrators changed the designated purpose of the territory to “for the construction and maintenance of administrative buildings,” which directly contradicts the interests of the state.

“The Shevchenkivskyi District Prosecutor’s Office of Kyiv filed a lawsuit seeking to remove obstacles to the use of the state-owned land plot, cancel the registration of ownership rights to a non-existent real estate object, and cancel the registration of the land plot in the State Land Cadastre,” the office reported.

As a reminder, the prosecutor’s office is seeking a 425 million hryvnia bail for former Minister Galushchenko.

The prosecutor’s office is demanding the collection of 14 million hryvnias from the developer of the “Nordica Residence” residential complex.
