The court returned a property in Pechersk, valued at ₴7 million, to municipal ownership

The Pecherskyi District Court of Kyiv ordered the return of a non-residential premises measuring nearly 100 square meters at 1/2 Boichuka Street—which was municipal property—from an individual who was in unlawful possession of it.

This was reported by the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office.

As prosecutors established, the premises had been illegally transferred to private ownership based on a forged document, allegedly issued by the Main Department of Housing of the Kyiv City Council. The district prosecutor’s office filed a lawsuit to reclaim the property, and the court agreed with the prosecutor’s position, returning the premises to the community.

Previously, in a similar lawsuit filed by the Holosiivskyi District Prosecutor’s Office of Kyiv, the court reclaimed from illegal possession a basement unit in a residential building on

Predslavinska Street, with an area of 495.3 square meters. The individual had registered ownership without entering into the investment agreement required for the repair and improvement of the premises, which confirmed the illegality of the privatization.

As a reminder, in March 2026, the process of returning 9.5 hectares of forest land in the Boryspil district of Kyiv Oblast to state ownership was completed; this land had been illegally held by entities affiliated with Viktor Medvedchuk and Oleksandr Klymenko.

Previously, the appellate court overturned an illegal decision by the Bucha District Council, and the 3,000-hectare Bilychansky Forest was returned to the Kyiv community.

Also, after nearly five years of legal proceedings, a complex of historic buildings dating from 1830 to 1910, located in the historic part of Podil near Zamkova Hill, was returned to the Kyiv community.
