Schemes involving fake employment to obtain reservations have been uncovered in Kyiv
Law enforcement agencies in the capital have dismantled two corruption schemes in which the organizers promised men of draft age that they could avoid mobilization through official deferments.
This was reported by the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office.
In exchange for monetary compensation, the perpetrators placed clients in fictitious positions at government agencies and educational institutions of strategic importance.
The first case was recorded in the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kyiv, where a local resident priced his “services” at $2,000.
For this amount, he promised to place the man as a driver or handyman at one of the state-owned defense enterprises, which automatically granted the right to defer military conscription.
The terms of the “arrangement” stipulated that the fictitious employee would only be listed on the payroll, while his bank card would be taken by the employers.
The organizers of the scheme planned to embezzle the client’s monthly salary while he enjoyed the privileges of his reserved status.
Another corruption network operated at one of the capital’s universities, where the cost of the “service” was significantly higher, amounting to $6,000.
An employee from one of the departments and an assistant to the university’s first vice-rector were found to be involved in the scheme.
The officials offered the man the position of café administrator at the university’s training and production center.
This position was on the list of those subject to reservation, which became the main commodity in the criminal deal between the educators and the client.
The SBU detained a Russian agent who was guiding jet drones toward Kharkiv in real time
As a reminder, an FSB agent who was coordinating Russian attacks on energy facilities was exposed and detained in the Vinnytsia region. The woman was gathering information on power generation facilities and transmitting coordinates to the enemy.
Earlier, the SBU and the National Police thwarted another attempt by Russian special services to destabilize the situation in Kyiv. This time, an FSB agent was detained in the center of the capital while preparing to set fire to the building of the Institute of National Memory of Ukraine.
A Russian agent operating in the Kirovohrad region was sentenced to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property. Acting on orders from the Russian Federation, the perpetrator attempted to install a GPS tracker on a special vehicle accompanying convoys of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
