Kyiv shopping centers will assist merchants from Lukyanivsky Market and Kvadrat who were affected by the Russian attack
Twenty-three of Kyiv’s leading shopping centers will allow entrepreneurs affected by the Russian Federation’s massive attack on the night of May 23–24 to operate on their premises free of charge or under special terms.
Russian occupiers struck commercial facilities near the Lukyanivska metro station; in particular, the popular Kvadrat shopping mall sustained significant damage.
To quickly rescue local businesses, the city administration immediately began negotiations with major shopping centers.
“The Department of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development of the Kyiv City State Administration promptly reached an agreement with the administrations of Kyiv’s leading shopping centers to provide workspaces to entrepreneurs who suffered as a result of the May 24 attack on commercial facilities near the “Lukyanivska,” specifically at the “Kvadrat” shopping center,” the Kyiv City State Administration officially announced on its website.
According to detailed information from the relevant Department, representatives of 23 major Kyiv shopping centers immediately responded to the city’s urgent appeal.
All of them publicly expressed their willingness to provide affected small and medium-sized businesses with the opportunity to continue their commercial operations in vacant retail spaces.
In addition to the direct allocation of space, the parties discussed in detail the introduction of preferential terms for occupancy and the specific duration of these terms.
The terms of this financial and organizational support will be discussed exclusively on an individual basis with each business owner, which will allow businesses in the capital to resume their operations much more quickly and effectively.
It is reported that, in addition to well-known chain shopping centers, the renowned municipal Zhitny Market has also actively joined the large-scale support program.
Its management is ready to promptly accommodate, under significantly preferential terms, all interested entrepreneurs who previously operated regularly at the affected Lukyanivsky Market.
As the Zhitny Market administration assures, there are guaranteed to be enough available spaces for everyone who is currently in urgent need of assistance in restoring their business.
This was reported by the Kyiv City State Administration.
