Thunderstorms are forecast for Kyiv on May 12; a yellow alert has been issued
On May 12, weather conditions are expected to deteriorate in Kyiv and throughout the Kyiv region. Meteorologists have issued a warning about thunderstorms and strong gusts of wind, prompting the declaration of a Level I hazard alert—yellow—in the region.
Residents of the capital and the region are urged to exercise caution when outdoors and to take weather conditions into account when planning trips.

According to meteorologists’ forecasts, tomorrow will be cloudy with some sunny intervals. If the night passes without precipitation, the region will be hit by rain and thunderstorms during the day.
Wind: southerly, 7–12 m/s. Squalls of 15–20 m/s are expected in some areas during the day.

In Kyiv: at night +10...12°C, during the day +20...22°C.
Across the region: at night +8...13°C, during the day +18...23°C.
Due to thunderstorms and gusty winds, a Level I hazard warning (yellow) has been issued. Experts note that such weather conditions may lead to:
- traffic disruptions;
- disruptions in the operations of utility and energy companies;
- problems at construction sites.
Forecasters have issued a weather forecast for Ukraine for the coming week.
