Up to 10 people may be trapped under the rubble of a shelled building in Kyiv

Following a massive Russian missile strike on the capital, rescue workers are continuing a large-scale search-and-rescue operation in the Podil and Darnytsia districts of the city. According to preliminary reports, up to ten people may still be trapped under the rubble of a destroyed building in the Podil district. 

Pavlo Petrov, a spokesperson for the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kyiv, noted that the exact number of people trapped under the rubble can only be determined after the building structures have been fully cleared.

Heavy engineering equipment, special cranes, and K-9 units have been deployed to address the aftermath of the attack and conduct search operations, surveying the sites of the destruction. Currently, 15 deaths have been officially confirmed as a result of this hostile shelling of the capital, RBC-Ukraine reports, citing the State Emergency Service.

The death toll in Kyiv has risen to 15.

In the Kyiv region, the death toll from the massive Russian attack that took place on July 6 has risen to eight, while the number of injured has reached 48.
