The Equality March has begun in Kyiv
The Equality March, organized by the civic organization “KyivPride,” is taking place in Kyiv on June 21.
Participants in the event are calling for the adoption of a law on civil partnerships and speaking out against certain provisions of the new draft Civil Code and against discrimination.
At the same time, another group of people has gathered in the center of the capital to hold an informational and educational event called the “March in Defense of the Family, Children, and Ukraine.” Participants in this rally say they support “family values” and the protection of “public morality.”
According to reports, military personnel are also present among the participants of both events.
