The Romanian city of Timișoara has donated generators to Kyiv for critical infrastructure
The Romanian city of Timișoara has donated four generators with a total capacity of 100 kW to Kyiv to support the capital’s essential services. The donated equipment will help ensure the stable and uninterrupted operation of critical infrastructure, medical facilities, and social services in the city under challenging conditions.
Oleg Kuyavsky, Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration for Local Self-Government, expressed his deep gratitude to the city government and community of Timișoara, the Association of Ukrainians in Romania, and the Romanian Embassy in Ukraine for their solidarity and support.
He emphasized that every such contribution strengthens the capital’s stability and helps maintain an adequate level of municipal services, while robust bilateral cooperation lays a solid foundation for a shared European future.
This was reported by the Kyiv City Council.
Kryvyi Rih received another 31 generators to support critical infrastructure. The new equipment will help the city keep its water supply systems, heating networks, and public utilities operational in the event of emergencies or power outages.
In Dnipro, a generator was purchased for 37 million hryvnias, despite cheaper offers being rejected.
