Traffic restrictions will be in place in downtown Kyiv on May 16–17 due to the marathon
Temporary traffic restrictions will be in place in downtown Kyiv on May 16–17. This is due to the “MHP Run4Victory Kyiv Marathon,” a charity sports event.
This was announced on Telegram by Oleksiy Biloshitsky, First Deputy Head of the Patrol Police Department.
On May 16, restrictions will apply to all types of vehicles from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Esplanadna Street (from the intersection with Rognidynska Street) and Zhylianska Street (from the intersection with Velyka Vasylkivska Street).
On May 17, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., traffic will be blocked along the marathon route: Saksahanskoho Street toward Halytska Square, then Berezestsky Avenue (odd-numbered side) toward the intersection with Akademika Yangelya Street.
The marathon will then turn around at the intersection of Beresteisky Avenue and Akademika Yangelya Street, proceed along Beresteisky Avenue in the opposite direction, then along Saksahanskoho Street, and finish near the Palace of Sports.
All these sections will be closed to traffic during the aforementioned time period.
