On Friday, May 15, a meeting of the Temporary Special Commission on Defense and Anti-Corruption is taking place in Kyiv. Valery Kravchenko, acting deputy head of the Kyiv City Temporary Special Commission and Joint Operations Center, was present at the meeting.

Kravchenko commented on several high-profile incidents related to mobilization. In particular, the discussion focused on the stopping of public transportation in Kyiv and the subsequent mobilization of one of the passengers.
The TCC representative was asked whether the mobilization of a citizen conducted in this manner was lawful and proper. According to him, under current Ukrainian law, state authorities have the right to conduct notification and mobilization activities in all public places, including on public transportation.
At the same time, he emphasized the negative context of any conflict situations that may arise during mobilization activities. However, he also reminded that Ukraine is waging an existential war against Russia, during which the compulsory mobilization of citizens is necessary for the survival of the state.
