The final of the national selection for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest has been rescheduled
The final of the national selection for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2026 has been postponed due to the deteriorating security situation in Ukraine.
Ukraine’s representative for the contest was originally scheduled to be selected on September 13, but the final will now take place on September 26 at 7:00 p.m. The organizers announced this on the official “Eurovision Ukraine” page.
The format of the final will be adapted in accordance with enhanced security measures for the participants and the production team. At the same time, the voting rules will remain unchanged: the winner will be determined jointly by the audience and the jury.
Six contestants will compete for the right to represent Ukraine at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest: 12-year-old Roman Doroshenko from the Kyiv region, 10-year-old Dmytro Karabet from Kyiv, 11-year-old Erika Kolesnichenko from the Kyiv region, 9-year-old Anastasia Poshedina from Kharkiv, who currently lives in Kyiv, 12-year-old Marko Serdynsky from Ivano-Frankivsk, and 11-year-old Zlata Solonenko from Vinnytsia Oblast.
The final will be broadcast on the Suspilne Kultura TV channel and website, the junior.eurovision.ua platform, and the “Eurovision Ukraine” YouTube channel.
