Fly to the Sky prepares to return after about eight years — Korea Herald

South Korean R&B duo Fly to the Sky is preparing to resume joint activities for the first time in about eight years. Group member Brian confirmed preparations for the comeback in an Instagram post, publishing photos with Hwanhee and from a recording studio.

As Korea Herald reports, Brian wrote that the duo is returning and may do so in the near future. In the released photos, the singer is, among other things, working on music in the studio.

Reunion talks

Brian's statement came after Hwanhee appeared on the KBS2 entertainment show Mr. House Husband. There, he said that the members had repeatedly discussed the possibility of a comeback. According to Hwanhee, Brian was a guest at his solo concert last year, and he believes that was when Brian truly wanted to perform on stage again.

The duo released its last full-length joint album, Fly High, in 2019. Subsequently, group activities largely ceased. Brian had previously spoken publicly about vocal instability and performance-related anxiety; according to him, these difficulties deprived him of the desire to sing for some time.

Rumors about the members' relationship

Fly to the Sky's return also comes after years of rumors about a conflict between the members, which Hwanhee and Brian have repeatedly denied. In May, on the program Moo No Plan, Hwanhee said there had been no serious quarrel between them, although they could argue over minor things.

Fly to the Sky debuted at SM Entertainment in 1999 and became one of the notable Korean R&B projects of the late 1990s and 2000s. The duo's well-known songs include Missing You, Even Though My Heart Breaks, and Your Season. A release date and other details of the upcoming return have not yet been announced.
