Russian propaganda singer Shaman (real name Yaroslav Dronov) has released a new song, “Russia Is Mom,” featuring a music video that showcases Russian artists and public figures who have been designated as “foreign agents” in Russia.
Among them was showman Maxim Galkin, who reacted sharply to the use of his image.
The video uses artificial intelligence to edit footage in which the so-called “foreign agents” are shown supposedly performing Shaman’s song. The propagandist stated that Russians “do not forgive betrayal,” and that artists who have left Russia or speak out against the war are “singing for Russia for free.”
Among the people who appeared in the video are Zemfira, Noize MC, Morgenstern, Oksimiron, Yuri Dud, Ilya Varlamov, Semyon Slepakov, and others.
Maxim Galkin did not let the clip go unnoticed and mocked Shaman on social media. In particular, the showman hinted that the music of the composition resembles Adele’s work.
“Not only did he cast people no one wants, but he also ripped off Adele’s music,” Galkin wrote.
He also ironically commented on the use of his old photo in the video.
“Well, it turned out to be a real hall of fame. I’m upset that he used my old photo; in my current prime, I’d sing along more impressively,” the artist joked.
At the end of the clip, Shaman noted that the video uses materials related to the activities of individuals recognized in Russia as “foreign agents.”
Prior to this, Russian singer and Kremlin policy supporter Shaman released a new song titled “Comrade Kim Jong-un.”
