ifeye performs at Korean culture festival in Stockholm — Korea Herald

K-pop group ifeye performed in Stockholm, Sweden, on August 22 at the Korean Culture Festival Stockholm. The group performed 10 songs during a 45-minute set at Kungstradgarden. According to the organizers' estimate, around 30,000 people attended the festival throughout the day, Korea Herald reports.

Concert and cultural program

The festival was organized by Koreanskt Kulturcenter. The event ran from noon until 6:00 p.m., and Kungstradgarden can accommodate up to 7,000 visitors at the same time. The program also included traditional Korean games, taekwondo, K-pop dances and stalls run by sellers of Korean goods.

Dahye Choi, creative director of Hitfire Production, who was responsible for selecting and coordinating artists at the event, said the audience response was even more active than she had expected. According to her, K-pop fan culture is spreading alongside the music, and spectators actively take part in performances, as they do at concerts in Seoul.

Choi said that visitors included parents and people watching a K-pop performance for the first time, alongside fans who knew the lyrics in Korean. Some spectators prepared handmade posters and fan merchandise.

Songs and the group's trip

ifeye performed mainly its own songs, including “Lover Boy” and “Nerdy,” as well as covers of Blackpink's “As If It’s Your Last” and BTS's “Dope.” “Lover Boy” was co-written by Julie Yu.

During their stay in Stockholm, the group members filmed video content on a rooftop overlooking the city, visited Spotify's headquarters and took part in songwriting sessions. They worked with Julie Yu and Erik Lidbom at Hitfire Productions, while some members of the group also joined a separate songwriting session with representatives of Very Good Music Production. Earlier, ifeye also performed at a Korean culture festival in Gothenburg, where the concert took place during a heavy downpour.
