The renowned artist, who gained international recognition for his memorable roles in famous films, passed away on June 4.

Their statement notes that the actor passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones.
“It is with great sadness that we can confirm that Patrick Godfrey passed away last night. He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Paddy was an exceptionally talented actor and a wonderful person, and we will miss him dearly,” the statement reads.
Patrick Godfrey was born on February 13, 1933, in London, the capital of the United Kingdom. He began his long professional career after receiving the prestigious Carlton Hobbs Scholarship and joining the BBC Radio Drama Company in 1956.
Over time, the talented performer became one of the most famous British theater and television actors of his generation.
The actor gained widespread international fame and the love of audiences thanks to his unparalleled portrayal of Leonardo da Vinci in the 1998 romantic drama *A Tale of Everlasting Love, or Cinderella*, in which Drew Barrymore played the female lead.
At the same time, his filmography includes dozens of successful cinematic projects. His roles in the films *The Count of Monte Cristo*, *Les Misérables*, and *A Room with a View* became iconic for him.
