The series “Youth” set a record for the number of awards at the 2026 BAFTA TV Awards

The Netflix series “Youth” was the big winner at the 2026 BAFTA TV Awards. The show took home four awards and set a record for the most wins by a single series at a single ceremony.

The drama was named Best Mini-Series. Awards for their roles in the series were also presented to Stephen Graham, Owen Cooper, and Christine Tremarco.

Sixteen-year-old Owen Cooper became the youngest BAFTA winner in the “Best Supporting Actor” category. In the series, he played a boy accused of murdering a classmate.

During his acceptance speech, the actor mentioned The Beatles and John Lennon.

“As John Lennon said, you won’t get anywhere unless you can imagine it. You only need three things to succeed: obsession, a dream, and The Beatles,” he said.

Stephen Graham won the award for Best Actor for his portrayal of the main character’s father. This is the actor’s first BAFTA win after seven nominations.

Christine Tremarko won in the “Best Supporting Actress” category for her role as the mother of the character Cooper.

Narges Rashidi won Best Actress for her role as Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe in the drama “Prisoner 951,” based on real events. The actress dedicated the award to the woman who spent six years in prison in Tehran.

The ITV series “Code of Silence,” starring Rose Ailing-Ellis as a deaf woman who helps the police thanks to her ability to read lips, was named Best Drama.

The reality show “Celebrity Traitors,” which drew over 15 million viewers last year, won in the “Best Reality Show” category.

Steve Coogan was named Best Actor in a Comedy Series for “How’s It Going? It’s Alan (Partridge).”

Katherine Parkinson received the award for Best Female Performance in a Comedy for the sitcom “Let’s Go,” and “Amandaland” won in the “Best Comedy Series” category.

The award in the Current Affairs category went to the documentary “Gaza: Doctors Under Fire.”

Mary Berry and financial expert Martin Lewis received special honorary BAFTA Fellowship awards.

A documentary about Russians won a BAFTA award.

As a reminder, the film “2000 Meters to Andriivka” made the BAFTA longlist.

The film “2000 Meters to Andriivka” was also named one of the top 50 best films of the year by The Guardian.
