Taisiya Povaliy was sentenced to 12 years in prison and had her property confiscated

The Vinnytsia City Court sentenced Taisiya Povaliy in absentia to 12 years in prison and ordered the confiscation of all her property. The property rights to her musical works were also transferred to the state.

This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.

Prosecutors proved in court that the former People’s Artist of Ukraine and former MP from the banned “Party of Regions” moved to Russia after 2014 and systematically supported the aggressor state.

According to the investigation, Povaliy participated in propaganda events, supported the so-called “Special Military Operation,” justified Russian aggression against Ukraine, and disseminated anti-Ukrainian narratives in Russian media.

On May 28, the court sentenced her to 12 years in prison, banned her from holding certain positions for 15 years, and ordered the confiscation of her property in favor of the state.

The case file notes that since the Revolution of Dignity, the singer has been living in Moscow, where she continues her creative work. In 2023, she received Russian citizenship.

In addition, in 2024, the High Anti-Corruption Court ruled to seize Povaliy’s assets for the state, including land plots and real estate in the Kyiv region, vehicles, weapons, and property rights to nine musical works.

In 2025, the rights to these musical works officially became the property of the Ukrainian state.

Earlier, People’s Artist of Ukraine Taisiya Povaliy, who supported Russia and moved to the Russian Federation after the start of the full-scale war, stated that her only son, Denis Povaliy, had cut off all communication with her. According to the singer, her son does not support her position and has effectively disowned her. Povaliy also acknowledged that she had made mistakes.

Povaliy’s estate will be sold to benefit the Armed Forces of Ukraine – video.

As a reminder, Taisiya Povaliy received a Russian passport.

The Vinnytsia Regional Prosecutor’s Office has referred the case of former deputy from the banned “Party of Regions,” artist Taisiya Povaliy, to court.
