Musician Igor Savchenko was killed in a terrorist attack in Kyiv
On Saturday, April 18, the life of renowned Ukrainian musician Igor Savchenko was tragically cut short during a terrorist attack in the capital.
The death of the member of the rock band “Drugoye Solntse” was reported by his close friend Marina Yurevich on her Facebook page.
The artist was one of six victims of the mass shooting that shook Kyiv and resulted in numerous casualties.
Yurevich noted that she had known Igor for over 16 years, during which time he remained a steadfast companion and pillar of support for those around him.
“Igor, you were a true friend, a true rocker; you never gave up, you were always there when the whole world was against us. You were a pillar of strength for everyone. Young at heart, incredible. You loved this life so much,” Marina Yurevich wrote in a touching post.
In the Holosiivskyi district of Kyiv, an unknown assailant opened fire on people.
