Hungary may return to Eurovision – the government is exploring the possibilities
Hungary is considering the possibility of returning to the Eurovision Song Contest. Prime Minister Péter Magyar has instructed the government to assess the feasibility of resuming participation following appeals from citizens calling for the country’s return to the contest.

Mátyás explained that while he himself does not object to Hungary’s return to Eurovision, the decision does not rest with him.
“I have received many letters and requests from the younger generation asking that Hungary be entered into this contest again. Therefore, I will instruct the minister or the state secretary for culture to thoroughly examine our options, and I will get back to you, as well as to the younger generation, with an answer,” said the Hungarian prime minister.
He noted that he has no objections and sees no reason not to participate in Eurovision.
Earlier, the Hungarian government commented on the massive attack by Russian drones on Transcarpathia, during which the region’s critical infrastructure was struck. Budapest described the situation in the border region as extremely alarming and announced that urgent countermeasures were being prepared.
