The Ukrainian film "You Are the Universe" will be screened at a festival in Canada
The science fiction film *You Are the Universe* will be screened at the Saskatoon Underground Film Festival in Canada. The film by Ukrainian director Pavlo Ostrikov will be presented as part of the festival’s PUFF program.
The Ukrainian State Film Agency announced this on Facebook.
The screening will take place on June 12.
The sci-fi drama “You Are the Cosmos” is nominated in 12 categories at the 10th annual “Golden Dziga” National Film Awards.
The plot centers on Ukrainian space trucker Andriy Melnyk, who transports nuclear waste from Earth to one of Jupiter’s moons. After an unexpected explosion on Earth, whose debris destroys everything around it, Andriy remains the last person in the universe. But suddenly, a Frenchwoman named Catherine contacts him, needing help. Despite the distance and obstacles, Andriy decides to save her at any cost.
Director and producer Oleg Pavlyuchenkov has passed away.
