DTEK has received a grant from Norad to build Ukraine's largest wind farm
DTEK Group has received a grant from the Norwegian Agency for Development and Cooperation (Norad) to prepare for the construction of the 650-MW Poltava Wind Farm.
DTEK announced this.
The project is set to become the largest wind farm in Ukraine and one of the key elements in strengthening the country’s energy resilience.
The grant of 5.5 million Norwegian kroner (approximately 487,000 euros) will be allocated for geological and engineering studies, as well as the preparation of project documentation.
The company notes that the project’s implementation will contribute to the decentralization of the power grid and Ukraine’s integration into EU energy standards.
DTEK RES CEO Oleksandr Selyshchev emphasized that this is a strategic investment in the country’s future and an important step toward the recovery of the energy sector.
It is also emphasized that this funding is part of a broader €8 million aid package from Norway to support investments in renewable energy and other strategic sectors.
DTEK released footage of thermal power plants clearly showing the destruction caused by Russian aggression.
DTEK has signed a strategic agreement with the American company Turbo Drill Industries to implement the advanced Vertical Scout drilling technology. This will accelerate gas and oil production in Ukraine, reduce costs, and strengthen the country’s energy security.
