Ethereum Foundation unveils network roadmap through 2029
The Ethereum Foundation has published Strawmap — a comprehensive development roadmap for the Ethereum blockchain network over the coming years, outlining seven hard forks approximately every six months. In 2026, two major updates, Glamsterdam and Hegota, are anticipated.

Key development goals include accelerating transaction finalization to just a few seconds, scaling Layer 1 to around 10,000 transactions per second, and scaling Layer 2 to millions of transactions per second.
