South Africa names ways to add macadamias to dishes — TimesLIVE
In South Africa, TimesLIVE published recommendations on using macadamias in the daily diet. The nuts are suggested for breakfasts, salads, baked goods, stir-fries and desserts.
Breakfasts and snacks
Gillian Laing, a representative of the Love Macadamia movement, noted that macadamias have a creamy texture, delicate flavour and crunch. According to her, the nuts contain monounsaturated fats, fibre and essential nutrients, so they can be a nutritious addition to everyday meals.
At the same time, Laing stressed that macadamias alone are not a universal solution for the changes a person seeks. Chopped nuts are recommended as a topping for yoghurt, oatmeal or smoothie bowls. For a quick snack, they can be paired with dried or fresh fruit and added to salads for crunch and texture.

Baked goods, hot dishes and desserts
Macadamias are suggested for use in cookies, muffins and sweet baked goods. The nuts can also be added to stir-fries, roasted vegetables and grain-based bowls.
For a snack board, macadamias are recommended to be paired with cheese, fruit and crackers. A simple sweet option can be combining these nuts with dark chocolate.
