The government has submitted three bills to the Rada to secure Western funding
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved and submitted to the Verkhovna Rada three new bills from a package of legislation necessary to secure international financial assistance and cover the state budget deficit. The proposed bills concern the regulation of the National Securities and Stock Market Commission, Ukrzaliznytsia, and the High Qualification Commission of Judges.
Prime Minister Serhiy Koretsky urged members of parliament to support the initiatives as soon as possible, emphasizing the seriousness of the state budget deficit. Since early September, the government has submitted eight such bills to parliament for consideration and plans to adopt all necessary decisions by November 1 to stabilize public finances and ensure funding for defense and social programs.

Earlier, the government approved and submitted to the Verkhovna Rada four bills that Ukraine must adopt as part of agreements with international partners. These decisions, in particular, will determine whether Ukraine receives €1.45 billion in macro-financial assistance, as well as its ability to secure further external financing.
