Akhmetov Receives an Award from UEFA for Advancing Soccer
Rinat Akhmetov, president of FC Shakhtar, received a UEFA award for his contribution to the development of European soccer from the organization’s president, Aleksander Čeferin.
The presentation took place at UEFA headquarters in Switzerland on the eve of the Champions League matches. The occasion marked Akhmetov’s 30 years as club president and Shakhtar’s 90th anniversary. According to Ceferin, he knows of no other European club president with a similar level of dedication. Akhmetov himself emphasized that he views the award as the result of the efforts of all generations of players, coaches, staff, and fans.

Akhmetov spoke about his contacts with Zelenskyy.
