Blokhin Named the Biggest Disappointments of the 2026 World Cup
Legendary Ukrainian soccer player and coach Oleg Blokhin said he was most disappointed by the performances of the German and Brazilian national teams at the 2026 World Cup.
According to the 1975 Ballon d’Or winner, he had expected both teams to play much better. Blokhin also criticized England’s performance, noting that the team played poorly in the semifinal against Argentina and that the coach was too slow to make substitutions.
At the same time, the former Dynamo coach was impressed by the national teams of Norway, Morocco, Egypt, and Ivory Coast, which, in his opinion, demonstrated a commendable level of play.

As a reminder, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) classified the World Cup semifinal match between England and Argentina as a high-risk game.
Argentina may face disciplinary action following its celebration of the victory over England.
