David Gyamfi scores hat-trick in Ashantigold's first Ghana league victory
Ashantigold FC secured its first-ever victory in the Ghana Premier League, beating Vision FC 3-1 at Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi. David Gyamfi scored all three goals for the home side to complete a hat-trick.

Ashantigold, a league debutant coached by Karim Zito, opened the scoring as early as the seventh minute. Gyamfi converted his chance to put the hosts ahead.
Vision FC equalised through Sherif Mohammed Idrissu. He scored from a free kick, beating the Ashantigold goalkeeper.

Three goals before the break
Gyamfi scored for a second time to restore Ashantigold's lead. In the 45th minute, the forward scored his third goal, and the hosts went into the break with a 3-1 lead, which remained the final score.
According to MyJoyOnline, Gyamfi became the first player to score a hat-trick in the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season. Ashantigold drew with Port City in the opening round, so the team has four points after two matches.
