European Championship final
In the match for gold at the 2026 European Men’s Volleyball Championship, Poland defeated France 3–1. The Poles took revenge for their defeat by the French in the final of the Olympic Games in Paris.

Support for the coach
According to Tanguy, the federation expects Giani to work with the national team until 2028. He also noted that the coach took over the team in a difficult situation and had not previously won many titles with the national teams he coached.
Before the tournament, experts expected a final between Poland, which was defending its title, and Italy, the reigning world champion. However, the Italians were eliminated in the quarterfinals after losing to Finland.
