Guardiola expected to attend Manchester City vs PSG match — BBC Sport
Former Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is expected to attend the team’s Champions League match against Paris Saint-Germain. According to BBC Sport, the game will take place on Wednesday, October 14, at the Etihad Stadium and will be the club’s first home match after an independent commission found it guilty of most of the 115 Premier League charges.
First return to the Etihad
This will be Guardiola’s first return to the Etihad since leaving the club at the end of last season. The Spaniard led Manchester City for 10 years.
During that time, he guided the team to six English league titles, including four in a row starting with the 2020–21 season. Under Guardiola, the club also won the Champions League, three FA Cups and five League Cups.

The club’s appeal
Earlier this month, an independent commission found Manchester City guilty on all counts relating to breaches of Premier League financial rules between the 2009–10 and 2017–18 seasons. The club continues to deny any wrongdoing and has appealed the findings set out in the Premier League report.
The report states that the club artificially inflated commercial revenue by £830 million through fictitious contracts. After the decision was announced, Guardiola voiced support for Manchester City’s owners, management, players, staff and fans.
Before the match against PSG, Enzo Maresca’s team will play Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday following a three-week international break.
