How to Plan Your Beauty Salon Visits: An Explanation by Yulia Chukaeva, Manager of Leo Beauty Club in Warsaw
The beauty industry is gradually moving away from spontaneous visits to the aesthetician right before an important event. More and more beauty professionals are recommending creating a personalized beauty calendar—a well-thought-out skincare routine in which each treatment has its own place, time, and purpose.
Yulia Chukaeva, manager of the Leo Beauty Club salon in Warsaw, explains
how to create such a schedule without unnecessary treatments, while taking into account the seasons, your lifestyle, and the needs of your skin and hair.

Why are cosmetologists today increasingly talking about a personalized beauty calendar instead of haphazard salon visits?
Yulia Chukaeva: Because today we’re increasingly moving away from the “do one treatment when a problem arises” approach. The beauty and quality of your skin and hair depend first and foremost on consistency.
At the same time, we always base our approach not on trendy treatments, but on the individual: their skin and hair condition, age, lifestyle, at-home care routine, and, of course, the results they want to achieve.
How can you properly combine cosmetic treatments, hair care, and injectable procedures so that they work together as a comprehensive system? And how does this approach work at Leo Beauty Club Warsaw?
Yulia Chukaeva: For us, a comprehensive approach is one of the core principles of Leo Beauty Club. We don’t want clients to have to piece together a puzzle of dozens of different treatments on their own.
For example, when it comes to the face, a specialist assesses the skin’s quality, hydration, tone, pigmentation, and facial expressions—and only then can they recommend a combination of professional treatments, device-based procedures, and, if necessary, injection therapies.
We take the same approach with hair. It’s important to consider its structure, color, the condition of the scalp, at-home care, and how often styling tools are used. Some people need professional care regularly, while for others, a maintenance treatment every few months is sufficient.
Which treatments are best done monthly, and which ones only need to be done a few times a year?
Yulia Chukaeva: There’s no one-size-fits-all formula here. And I wouldn’t even recommend following the rule that “this treatment absolutely must be done once a month.”
Monthly treatments might include maintenance care for the face or hair, if they meet the client’s needs. The frequency of deep cleansings, exfoliations, and other treatments depends on the condition of the skin and the specific technique used.
Device-based procedures are often performed in courses, after which we transition to a maintenance regimen. Injection techniques also have their own recommended intervals. For example, the effects of Botox last an average of three to four months, but that doesn’t mean everyone needs to have the procedure exactly four times a year.
How does the skincare schedule change depending on age, lifestyle, and season?
Yulia Chukaeva: Very significantly. We can create completely different programs even for two clients of the same age.
Everything matters: sun exposure, stress, sleep, exercise, frequent flights, diet, at-home care, and the condition of the skin and hair. Age is just one factor for us—but certainly not the only one.
Seasonality is also important. In the fall and winter, we can focus more on skin renewal, pigmentation, and certain device-based treatments. In the spring, we prepare the skin for stronger sun exposure, and in the summer, we place greater emphasis on hydration, repair, and sun protection.
What are the most common mistakes people make when planning their own beauty routine?
Yulia Chukaeva: The most common mistake is trying to do everything at once. Especially now, when new treatments and trends are constantly popping up on social media. People see great results on someone else and automatically decide they need that exact same treatment.
But what worked perfectly for one person might be completely unnecessary for another.
The second mistake is a lack of consistency: doing just one treatment from a course, not seeing immediate results, and immediately moving on to the next one.
And the third is failing to consider compatibility and the intervals between treatments. This is especially important when we’re talking about serious device-based and injection-based procedures.
That’s exactly why we always recommend starting not with choosing a specific treatment, but with a consultation. A good beauty calendar isn’t just a list of things you need to get done in a year. It’s a well-thought-out system in which each treatment has its own goal, the right timing, and complements the previous one.
At Leo Beauty Club Warsaw, this is exactly our approach: not to do more—but to do what a specific client truly needs.
