Yaremchuk scored twice to secure a victory for Lyon in Ligue 1
Ukrainian forward Roman Yaremchuk was one of the standout players in the 31st round of the French league, helping Lyon defeat Auxerre 3–1.
The Ukraine national team forward started the match and played 77 minutes, during which he scored twice.
It was Yaremchuk who opened the scoring in the match, successfully anticipating a cross from the wing. Late in the game, he scored his second goal, spectacularly heading in a cross while falling.
Auxerre managed to equalize before halftime, but Lyon regained the lead thanks to a goal by Tolisso, and the Ukrainian’s second goal sealed the victory for the home team.
Following this success, Lyon strengthened its position in the race for a Champions League spot and currently sits in third place in the standings.
