Another Ukrainian soccer club has suspended operations
FC “Uzhhorod” has officially announced the suspension of its professional activities for the 2026–27 season due to financial difficulties. The club emphasized that this is a temporary decision and that once the situation stabilizes, the team plans to return to professional soccer.
Despite the hiatus in competitive play, Uzhhorod’s youth soccer academy will continue to operate as usual.
The club was founded in 2015 and finished in 6th place in Group A of the Second League last season, earning 44 points in 30 matches.
“Uzhhorod” has become the third team to withdraw from professional competition ahead of the new season. Earlier, SK “Chaika” announced a hiatus, while “Real Pharma” decided to compete in the 2026/27 season at the amateur level.
