Sobolenko lost in the quarterfinals at Roland Garros
World No. 1 Arina Sobolenko, playing as a "neutral" player, failed to advance to the semifinals of the French Open (Roland Garros) in Paris.
In the quarterfinal match, Sobolenko lost to "neutral" Diana Schneider (No. 23 in the world rankings) 6-3, 5-7, 0-6, according to Ukrinform.
To reach the final, Schneider will face Poland’s Chwalinska (No. 114), who defeated “neutral” Anna Kalinska (No. 24) 7-6 (7-3), 6-3.
As reported, in the other Roland Garros 2026 semifinal match, Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk (No. 15) will face “neutral” player Mirra Andreeva (No. 8).
The tournament in the French capital will conclude on June 7.
