Triathlete Henri Räppo wins Ironman Tallinn 70.3 for the second time
Estonian triathlete Henri Räppo won the half-distance Ironman Tallinn 70.3 in Tallinn for the second consecutive year. The 28-year-old athlete completed the 1.9 km swim, 90 km cycling leg and half marathon in 3 hours 38 minutes 32 seconds.
Men's race results
Germany's Hannes Butters took second place, finishing 1 minute 7 seconds behind the winner. Italy's Enzo Burdón finished third, almost three minutes after Räppo. As ERR News reports, the Ironman Tallinn 70.3 competition took place after Saturday's full-distance Ironman race.
Women's podium
Italy's Marta Bernardi won the women's race with a time of 4 hours 12 minutes 3 seconds. Estonia's Liis Kapten entered the finishing straight in second place but fell and allowed France's Sandra Huon to move ahead. Huon finished 1 minute 5 seconds behind Bernardi.

The 20-year-old Kapten got up and crossed the finish line four seconds after Huon. She took third place, 1 minute 9 seconds behind, and was the best among the Estonian participants in the women's race.
Full distance
In the full-distance Ironman race on Saturday, France's Rémi Conte won, while Finland's Laura Jalasto recorded the best result among women. Kristopher Kamberg achieved the highest place among Estonians in this distance.
