Thulium laser LaseMD: effective hair-loss treatment explained by a LEO BEAUTY CLINIC cosmetologist
One of the most promising devices in the field of hair-loss treatment is the thulium laser LaseMD by Lutronis. The technology combines a unique mode of action, minimal skin damage, and the ability to deliver active serums into the deep layers of the dermis, opening new possibilities for treating diffuse alopecia, hair thinning, and other trichological issues. Who this hardware method is suitable for and what time of year is best for the treatment — expert advice from Halyna Yakovlieva, a cosmetologist at LEO BEAUTY CLINIC in Warsaw.
The premium-class aesthetic medicine clinic LBC has the largest updated collection of highly effective cosmetology devices in Poland.
How LaseMD works
The device generates a 1927 nm laser, which fractionally distributes the light pulse into numerous micro-beams.
These micro-beams create microchannels in the scalp while keeping the surface epidermis intact — the stratum corneum remains undamaged. Through these channels, special serums can be massaged into the dermis, significantly increasing their penetration.
For trichological purposes, Lutronis has developed a special attachment optimized for scalp treatment. After the laser session, a serum is applied — in this case, a serum with exosomes works exceptionally well. It stimulates microcirculation and improves nourishment of the hair follicles.
The laser action enhances blood supply to the scalp, increasing the delivery of nutrients to the hair bulbs and activating dormant follicles.
Thanks to the microchannels and the penetration of growth factors, it is possible to influence follicles that are in a resting or weakened state, stimulating them to enter the growth phase.

How the LaseMD procedure is performed
The procedure is well tolerated, requires no anesthesia, and involves minimal downtime — the surface of the skin is not traumatized.
Who the procedure is suitable for and precautions
The LaseMD device works effectively on any skin phototype and at any time of year — thanks to the gentle non-ablative laser profile.
Like any medical procedure, LaseMD has contraindications: inflammatory scalp diseases, oncology, pregnancy, active infections.
Treatment course duration and proven effect
A course includes several sessions, depending on the condition of the scalp and the degree of hair loss.
After the procedures, clients note improved hair density, reduced brittleness, and better overall quality.
To enhance the achieved result, specialists at LEO BEAUTY CLINIC always individually select highly effective comprehensive care programs following hardware treatments.
