The Carolina Hurricanes and the Vegas Golden Knights will face off in the Stanley Cup Final. Both teams from the U.S. advanced confidently through their playoff series and eliminated their opponents. Now they will compete for the season’s top hockey trophy, according to the NHL.
This season’s Stanley Cup Final will be an all-American affair, a fact that became clear after the Carolina Hurricanes secured their spot in the final series by decisively defeating the Montreal Canadiens 6-1 in the series’ final game, closing out the series 4-1.
The Carolina team played the series with great confidence, leaving their opponents few chances, and it was this consistency that allowed them to advance without unnecessary nerves at the decisive moment.
Earlier, the Vegas Golden Knights had already secured their spot in the finals, having dealt with the Colorado Avalanche even more convincingly, sweeping the series 4-0.
