Bessemer raises $5.75 billion for AI investments — TechCrunch
According to TechCrunch, venture firm Bessemer Venture Partners has raised $5.75 billion through two new funds to invest across all segments of the AI market. Of this amount, $1.75 billion is intended for seed and early-stage funding rounds, while another $4 billion is for startups at the growth stage.

Since 2022, Bessemer has invested in more than 260 companies creating products based on artificial intelligence. According to the firm’s own estimate, the total volume of its investments in AI-related startups has already reached $3 billion.

These investments covered computing resources, infrastructure, foundation models, developer tools, application products, and agent technologies. Among the companies backed by Bessemer, TechCrunch names Anthropic, Cognition, Legora, Perplexity, Ramp, Shopify, and Waymo.
The firm’s position
Bessemer partner Byron Deeter said that companies built around AI are scaling faster than any technology category the firm has invested in previously. In a comment to Bloomberg, he also said that venture funds need to increase the amount of capital available, as companies remaining private for longer has become, in his words, a permanent structural change.
