Life360 unveils $7.99 QR tags for pets
Family location and safety service Life360 has introduced a new line of QR tags for pets priced at $7.99, as well as features for monitoring daily pet care. As TechCrunch reports, scanning the QR code on a tag sends a notification to the family through the Life360 app and can display the owner's phone number.

A person who finds an animal does not need to install the Life360 app to scan the code. At the same time, the family receives notifications on smartphones with the app installed. Scanning also transmits data about the animal's location: if it runs away again from the person who found it, the family will retain information about its last known location.
The contact details for the tag can be changed through the animal's profile in the app. According to the company, service users have already added more than 8 million pets to their accounts. Last year, Life360 launched GPS trackers for animals that use the capabilities of the Tile item-finding network. Life360 acquired Tile, an AirTag competitor, in 2021.

Monitoring feeding, walks and medication
Life360 is also launching care logs in which family members can plan and track feeding, walks, medication administration and litter box cleaning. Information about these procedures will be available to all members of the family account.
The Zoomies Alerts feature has been added for GPS trackers, tracking spikes in an animal's activity at certain times of day or in the evening. The weekly summary will include data on distance traveled and on which family member cared for the pet the most during the week. GPS trackers have also become available in the Silver package for $99 per year, whereas they were previously offered only in the more expensive Gold and Platinum packages.
The new tags and GPS trackers are sold on the Life360 website and Amazon in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.
