Nothing unveils flagship Headphone 1 Pro headphones — The Verge

Nothing has unveiled the flagship over-ear Headphone 1 Pro headphones priced at $399. The model features active noise cancellation, several sound profiles, a triple driver, and Auracast support, The Verge reports.

A mode for working with sound

One of the key features of the Headphone 1 Pro is the Flat EQ switch. It disables equalizer settings and spatial audio in the Nothing X app. According to the company, this mode is intended to allow studio professionals to listen to material without additional sound coloration from the headphones.

The idea for the feature emerged through collaboration with the London recording and mastering studio Metropolis Studios. The Verge notes that Mark Ronson produced Amy Winehouse's album Back in Black there.

Sound settings

The standard Balanced profile in the Nothing Headphone 1 Pro emphasizes midrange and high frequencies. According to The Verge's reviewer, vocals sound distinct in this mode, while cymbals are noticeably brighter. After activating Flat EQ, the sound character changes significantly.

The Headphone 1 Pro expands Nothing's audio lineup, which this year also includes the $199 Headphone A headphones and Ear 3A wireless earbuds priced below $100.
