Ukrainian robot "Volya-E" has become a combat robot (video)

The Ukrainian company ROBONEERS has integrated the "Shabla MK-19" combat module into the "Volya-E" ground-based robotic system. As a result, the "Volya-E" logistics platform has been upgraded and effectively transformed into a remotely controlled fire support system capable of performing combat missions.

Ukrainian defense tech company ROBONEERS informed “Military” about the completion of the integration and testing.

“The system has passed tests involving live-fire exercises and navigating an obstacle course,” the manufacturers assure.

The new variant of the NRC combines the “Volya-E” platform with the “Shablya MK-19” remotely controlled combat module, which uses MK-19 or AGL-53 40mm automatic grenade launchers.

The module is designed to engage enemy personnel, lightly armored vehicles, and field fortifications at ranges of up to 2 kilometers.

Weapon control is carried out via a digital communication channel. The proprietary software supports various reticles, rapid target acquisition, target coordinate storage, video recording, and the configuration of firing sectors.

The system also features a ballistic calculator, digital zoom, fire modes, and the ability to fire based on coordinates without direct line of sight to the target.

The “Shabla MK-19” is compatible with Ukrainian-made thermal imaging systems and can be integrated with various types of ground-based robotic systems via digital communication channels, including Starlink Mini.

Originally, the “Volya-E” was designed as a logistics and evacuation platform for delivering cargo and evacuating the wounded. After the combat module was installed, the system gained the ability to perform fire missions without exposing personnel to dangerous areas.

The platform is equipped with an integrated communication system featuring a Starlink satellite channel and a TBS Crossfire backup control system. Its maximum speed is 12 km/h, its payload capacity is up to 200 kg, and its range is 22 kilometers.

Thanks to its compact dimensions, the UAV can be transported in the bed of a standard off-road vehicle, simplifying its rapid redeployment between frontline sectors.

ROBONEERS notes that the successful integration has confirmed the versatility of the “Shabla” family of combat modules.

“Going forward, the company plans to adapt other turret variants to the ‘Volya-E’ platform, which will expand the range of weapons for robotic systems already in service with the military,” the company said.

The Japanesehumanoid robot Pepper has made it into the Guinness Book of World Records.

Chinese tech company Noetix officially unveiled its new development—the anthropomorphic robot Hobbs W1, designed for active interaction with people in a professional environment.

As a reminder, at an event in Miami, Tesla showcased the Optimus robot, which was supposed to demonstrate autonomous operation. However, a video that went viral on social media showed that the robot was actually being controlled by a human.
