Xbox app to arrive on compatible TCL TVs — The Verge
Microsoft is working with TCL to add the Xbox app to compatible smart TVs made by the manufacturer. Owners of these devices will be able to connect to Xbox Cloud Gaming and stream games from the Game Pass catalog or individually purchased games over the internet as part of a subscription.
As The Verge reports, the app is expected to appear on TCL TVs “in the coming months.”
Payment for cloud access
The expansion of Xbox Cloud Gaming availability coincides with the introduction of a new payment option for using the service. In November, Microsoft plans to launch a pay-as-you-go option that will allow users to use cloud streaming without an Xbox Game Pass subscription. This option is intended, in particular, for people who do not have an Xbox console.

Microsoft is also testing free ad-supported cloud gaming among participants in the Xbox Insiders program. According to the publication, this option may also be launched soon.
Restrictions for subscribers
At the same time, Microsoft is limiting monthly cloud gaming access time for Game Pass subscribers. Users of the Game Pass Ultimate plan will have 15 hours per month, Premium subscribers 10 hours, and Essential subscribers five hours. Subscribers will have to purchase cloud-hour packages for additional gaming time.
TCL will become another TV manufacturer to integrate the Xbox app. Previously, support was added to Hisense TVs running the VIDAA operating system, as well as many Samsung, LG, and Amazon Fire TV devices.
