Rain and thunderstorms are expected in Ukraine on June 17
On Wednesday, June 17, 2026, variable cloudiness and brief showers with thunderstorms are forecast for most regions of Ukraine. In Kyiv, daytime temperatures will range from 20 to 22° above zero.
Cloud cover will be variable across Ukraine. No precipitation is expected at night; during the day, most regions—except for the south and southeast—will see brief showers and thunderstorms in some areas. Winds will be predominantly westerly, 5–10 m/s. Nighttime temperatures will range from 9–14°; along the coast, up to 17°; daytime temperatures will range from 19–24°, and in the south of the country, 23–28°.
On Wednesday, June 17, cloud cover in Kyiv will be variable. No precipitation is expected at night; during the day, there will be brief showers and thunderstorms in some areas. The wind will be westerly, 5–10 m/s. Temperatures across the region will range from 9–14° at night to 19–24° during the day; in Kyiv, they will range from 11–13° at night to 20–22° during the day, according to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.
As a reminder, May 2026 in Kyiv turned out to be warmer than usual and was accompanied by a series of meteorological anomalies. The city recorded new all-time high temperatures for certain dates, as well as periods of the greatest heat throughout the month.
Earlier, the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center released a forecast for the second month of spring, according to which temperatures and precipitation will remain within the climatic norm.
