The weather forecaster announced thunderstorms and said when the heat would return
On Tuesday, July 28, a cold front will sweep across Ukraine. It will bring rain and thunderstorms, stronger winds, and a temporary drop in temperatures. At the same time, forecasters predict that hot weather will return in early August.
According to meteorologist Natalka Didenko, thunderstorms will occur tonight and tomorrow morning in the western, northern, central, and southern regions of Ukraine. Meanwhile, no significant precipitation is expected in the eastern part of the country at this time.
Throughout the day, the rain will shift toward the Left Bank.
In addition, one of the notable features of tomorrow will be a strong northwesterly wind.
After the cold front passes, the air temperature will drop. According to Didenko’s forecast, daytime temperatures will range from +20 to +24 degrees. In the south and southeast, it will be slightly warmer—+25 to +28 degrees.
In Kyiv, rain and thunderstorms are expected tonight and on the morning of July 28. Precipitation is unlikely during the day. Following the current heatwave, temperatures in the capital will drop to around +22 degrees.
According to the meteorologist, a new heat wave is expected in Ukraine as early as the beginning of August.
At the same time, Didenko urged Ukrainians to be especially careful with fire due to the high risk of wildfires. She advised against discarding cigarette butts, burning dry grass, and refraining from lighting bonfires outdoors.
Earlier, experts from the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center analyzed the climatic characteristics of July in Ukraine and outlined preliminary weather trends for the second month of summer. According to their estimates, July may continue to show higher-than-normal temperatures.
