A WhatsApp group administrator was convicted for sharing the locations of TCCs in the Kharkiv region
A resident of Solonitsivka was found guilty of obstructing the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine by systematically disclosing the locations of military recruitment offices.
This is according to the verdict of the Derhachi District Court of Kharkiv Oblast.
The investigation established that the defendant administered a group of 150 members, where he posted the times and addresses for the delivery of draft notices. Such actions allowed citizens to evade military registration, which harmed the state’s defense capabilities and the process of staffing military units. During the hearing, the man fully admitted his guilt in the alleged crime. The court sentenced him to 5 years of imprisonment but replaced the actual prison term with a 2-year probationary period.
Currently, law enforcement agencies continue to identify similar channels in messaging apps that are used to undermine mobilization efforts. The dissemination of information regarding the movement of equipment and personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during wartime carries severe criminal liability. Official sources urge citizens not to assist the enemy and not to obstruct the work of representatives of territorial recruitment centers. The Security Service of Ukraine reminds the public that administering such resources may be regarded as aiding the actions of the Russian Federation.
Earlier, the Darnytskyi District Court of Kyiv sentenced the administrator of the Telegram channel “Povistki” to a suspended sentence.
In Kyiv, police invited representatives of the military registration and enlistment office to an event attended by drivers who enjoy loud drifting, where the officials handed out draft notices to the young men.
