Agricultural giant ADM has shut down its plant in Chornomorsk following the Russian attack

Global agricultural holding Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) has temporarily suspended operations at its oil extraction plant in Chornomorsk following damage caused by a Russian drone attack. The facility sustained damage after the strike on April 26. The company is currently assessing the extent of the damage and the potential timeline for resuming operations.

This was reported by Latifundist.

According to the publication’s sources, the company has also temporarily halted the purchase of raw materials.

Restoration work is underway at the facility, and the damage is being assessed.

"Operations at ADM’s oil extraction facility in Chornomorsk, Ukraine, remain suspended following damage caused by a drone strike on April 26, 2026. The safety of our employees is our top priority, and we continue to closely monitor the situation," ADM stated.

Following the attack, oil contaminatedthe Chornomorsk coastline and harmed birds.

Cleanup efforts for the sunflower oil spill are ongoing at the port of Chornomorsk—booms have been deployed.

As a reminder, thousands of tons of oil spilled into the sea in Chornomorsk as a result of a Russian strike.

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, police came under fire while evacuating people.
